"Episode XL: Samurai versus Ninja" is the fortieth episode in the fourth season of Samurai Jack. The episode features Jack fighting a Ninja who has been sent by Aku.

PlotEdit

Aku sends forth the robotic Ninja, Warrior of the Dark, to kill the Samurai. Hearing the cries of a young boy, Jack heads to a village which is under attack from by robot lobsters. Jack defeats them all while the Ninja watches. The Ninja then takes the boy to a nearby ruined tower where he strikes from the darkness at Jack as he follows. Jack knows of the ninja's technique and reveals that he has been trained to blend with the light, just as the Ninja can blend with the dark. The two warriors fight from shadow to light and back again—with the sun going down, Jack quickly runs out of concealment and reflects the waning light onto the Ninja and destroys him with a well-tossed sword.
